You need to hit what I call Death Plus Three. If you are doing 10 reps of a bicep curl you should hit Death at rep 7 when you want to stop. But you don’t. You pause, regroup and perform 3 more. You should not be able to lift an 11th rep because you hit failure. If you can lift more than 10 reps you are too light. I wanted to show you what my 10th rep looks like when I am lifting heavy and at failure. It’s not pretty 😂 Then I show you what I see the majority of women doing in the gym. By the time they hit 10 reps they are tired, fatigued, sweaty and it was hard. If you want to gain muscle and strength then you don’t want hard. You want HEAVY.
